Hard alee: The command used in coming about to inform the crew that the helm is being pushed hard to leeward, turning the boat into the wind. I love this painting because you can feel the fullness of the sails as it moves through reflective waters. The JB328 on the sails are in honor of my father, John Booker who had the birthdate of 3/28. My father.. a sailor, a boat builder, and a dreamer, passed away in 2020. He and my mama will forever be sailing in the clouds.
